A traditional family run pub dating back to the 1840’s. The building was originally a toll house on the banks of the Maigue river where turf boats anchored on their way from county Clare with their deliveries upriver to Adare.
After 30 years in the catering business John & Helen Quinn purchased “De Bucket” in 2016, it was always their dream to own their own pub/restaurant near their home in Clarina.
They refurbished the Pub with a new modern kitchen and seating area that can cater for 100 people. De Bucket is a popular spot for both locals and the busy passing trade from the N69 road between Limerick and Kerry .John prides himself in providing a menu to suit all, while ensuring all ingredients are sourced locally.
The premise is full of character and has plenty of stories on the wall, if you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a catch up with friends & family then our Maigue River Restaurant is the place to be.
Outdoor the Patio looks out onto the river and there is no better place to spend a summers evening sipping a nice pint or a cool glass of wine.
John & Helen and their dedicate and friendly staff will be delighted to welcome you to De Bucket, See you Soon.
